Joan Van Blom is a rowing Olympian (check out the link). She was visiting her parents in Port Townsend in August 2005 just after we'd taken delivery of the quads we were receiving from the Pocock Centre in exchange for the Hoh. Jim Buckley and Ted persuaded her to jon them on the water. The conditiions were unbeliebably gorgeous!
