Learn to Row

No matter what your age 17 to 77 plus, or your level of fitness or skill, you can participate in this healthy life-long activity and become part of our vibrant community of rowers in Port Townsend.  Offered by the Rat Island Rowing and Sculling Club, in partnership with the Wooden Boat Foundation/Northwest Maritime Center, this 10-session Novice course covers the technique of sweep rowing in 8-person sliding-seat racing shells, along with physical conditioning, safety on the water, and boat care and maintenance.  Once students complete the Novice course they are certified to join ongoing open rowing sessions.

Cost is $150, and includes automatic 1 month introductory Club membership at the conclusion of your class.  A $25 deposit is needed to secure a place in a class.
